The State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) has announced that Monday, March 3, 2025, will be observed as a bank holiday nationwide in connection with the first day of Ramadan and for Zakat deduction.
According to the official notification, all banks, Development Finance Institutions (DFIs), and Microfinance Banks (MFBs) will remain closed for public transactions on this day. However, banking staff are required to report to work as usual, as it will be considered a regular working day for internal operations.
Customers are advised to plan their banking transactions in advance and utilize digital banking services, which will remain fully operational during the holiday. ATMs, mobile banking, and online banking platforms will continue to function without interruption.
Regular banking services, including over-the-counter transactions, will resume on Tuesday, March 4, 2025. For further details, customers can visit their respective banks’ websites or refer to the State Bank of Pakistan’s official website.
